Cook's Campground And Cabins

On the shores of Cross Bay!

Please remember you are not the only people in our campground and cabins so please be respectful and keep the noise to a minimum.  Loud partying will not be tolerated if it disrupts others and you will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given. 

 

Pet Policy 

PETS ARE STRONGLY DISCOURAGED AND NOT ALLOWED IN CABINS BUT WILL BE ALLOWED IN CAMPSITES IF ALL RULES ARE FOLLOWED.  ​

  • While you are staying with us, we ask that you be respectful of our other guests.  Please let us know upon arrival that you have a pet(s).

  • We do not allow pets in our cabins!  So please if you are renting a cabin please find alternative accommodations for your pets.  Anyone who sneaks pets into cabins will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given.  
  •  Aggressive and/or noisy pets are not permitted or tolerated.  Continuous barking or any aggressive behaviour to other customers or camp owner/management, you will be asked to leave with no refund!
  • To ensure the safety of others, pets must be leashed at all times when outside. Have your pet leashed before it leaves your vehicle.  If you are using a leash that is extendable, you must keep the extension so the pet remains no more that 2 feet from person walking the pet.
  • Maximum of 2 pets per campsite and pets must not be left unattended at anytime!  
  • Please when walking your pet to do its business you must pick up after it and dispose of the waste in your garbage can at your site DO NOT USE SOMEONE ELSES GARBAGE AND DO NOT DISPOSE OF IT IN THE PUBLIC BATHROOMS OR IN RECYCLING BINS.  
  • Pets are not allowed in the public bathrooms or on the deck of the bathrooms.  
  • Pets are NOT ALLOWED in the filleting shack
  • Pet owners will be responsible for any damages to the property.  

 

    Cabin Policy 

A $200 deposit is required when booking and is non-refundable​​

  • Check out is 10 am. Check in is 3 pm.

  • PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CABINS.  Please refer to Pet Policy.

  •  We are light housekeeping units.   You are expected to keep cabin reasonably clean and swept.   Dishes done, unexpected spills wiped up.   All dishes must be properly washed and in cupboards when you leave. Mops and brooms and cleaning supplies are under sinks in kitchen or bathroom if needed during your stay.  . 

  • If an appliance or light is unfunctional please advise staff.

  • Garbage can be placed in garbage can outside every morning.  Do not put garbage in cans overnight as this may attract unwanted wildlife in camp.   Recycle bins should be used for beverage containers only.  DO NOT PUT FOOD WASTE IN RECYCLING.

  • No cleaning of fish/wild meat allowed in cabins.    We have a filleting shack for your use in camp.  We have freezers available in the garage behind the office for you to store your fish.  Please package your fish/meat and place in bags and mark your bags clearly with your name.  ANY PACKAGES NOT MARKED WILL BE REMOVED.  
  • Ice can be bought in camp at $4 a bag at camp office 
  • Each cabin has a fire pit.  Fire wood can be purchased from Camp Manager,  cash only   Transporting firewood is not permitted as set out by Manitoba standards. 
  • We do not supply propane, or barbeques.  

  • Please note we are not responsible for any lost, stolen or forgotten items during your stay.  So please make sure to check cabins thoroughly before leaving.  

Campground Rules

  • Bathroom and shower house is next to the office.  Showers are $3.00.  Please pay at the office. 

  • Ice can be purchased at $4 a bag.  Please pay at camp office 

  •  Makes sure all food is stored in your camper, tent, or vehicle so as not to attract wildlife.
